A Latino Studies minor prepares you to engage with one of the country’s fastest growing populations. You’ll broaden your knowledge about the Latinx populations of the United States. Our courses examine contemporary and historical issues using cutting-edge scholarship from across the disciplines, and are taught by professors in media, education, history, language, law, literature, music, sociology, and more.
Our minor pairs well with many majors. It is especially well-suited to students who are taking Spanish courses or who are majoring in Spanish. However, Latino Studies courses do not require a knowledge of Spanish. This minor requires completion of 15 credit hours.
